Getting to Syros island
By Air.
Hermoupolis is served by Syros Island National Airport (JSY). There are daily flights from Athens to Syros operated by Sky Express from Athens International Airport and from Thessaloniki operated by Astra Airlines from Makedonia International Airport.
Alternatively, you can fly to Mykonos Island National Airport (JMK) and then take the ship to Syros. Mykonos airport is served by many low cost and charter companies during the summer season. The airport is located 4 km away from the town of Mykonos. Journey time from Mykonos to Hermoupolis ranges from 40 min to 1 hour depending on type of vessel.
By Sea
Syros is connected daily with Piraeus port, the main port of Athens, throughout the year. Journey time is 4 hours.
Hermoupolis is also home port for smaller vessels that offer regional routes to the Cyclades islands. Currently HELLENIC SEA WAYS and SEA JETS operate such routes, throughout the year. You can visit the official websites of the ferry companies for timetable info.
